Your Itinerary

From My Tho, a boat carries you across the Tien River to Ben Tre Island. Watch out for the sand barges and small sampan fishing boats as you sail by! You’ll make a stop at Phoenix Islat to watch local families making coconut rice paper and crafting tools and trinkets from coconut shells. Then you’ll set off for Tan Thach where your bike awaits you. An 8km ride through the coconut groves and rural scenery gives you time to soak up the atmosphere of daily life on the banks of the Mekong. After a delicious riverside lunch, it’s time for a leisurely boat trip. Sit back and watch the traditional Mekong boats carrying their fish, fruit, coconuts and sand. Head ashore to explore the small family-run cottage industries that trade in coconuts, traditional salt production, grass mat weaving and brickmaking. This tour offers a truly unique opportunity to taste simple rural life, Vietnamese-style. At the end of the afternoon, return to Ho Chi Minh City.
